Anthony M. “Tony” Griffin

Commander-in-Chief, Sons of Confederate Veterans

We are honored to welcome Commander-in-Chief Tony Griffin as our keynote speaker for the 4th Annual Lee Jackson Dinner.

Commander Griffin was elected Commander-in-Chief of the Sons of Confederate Veterans at the organization’s 131st National Reunion in Lexington, Kentucky, in July 2026, after serving two years as Lieutenant Commander-in-Chief. In that role he traveled extensively across the Confederation, visiting camps and Divisions, attending dedications and memorial services, and championing recruiting and retention as the lifeblood of the organization.

As Commander-in-Chief, he has set out an agenda focused on completing Forrest Plaza at Historic Elm Springs, growing and retaining membership, supporting the SCV’s youth and education programs, and strengthening camps and Divisions — all in service of the Charge given by Lt. Gen. Stephen D. Lee. His watchword for the administration: “Forward together, with faith, purpose, and determination.”
